*******************************************************************

Welcome to HardCopy Pro, the professional, easy to use screen
capture utility for Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0 and 2000! It can
capture rectangular screen areas and whole windows. The captured
images can be cropped very easily and the color depth can be
changed to any desired value from monochrome to true color. Images
can be saved, copied to the clipboard, edited with any image
editing program or printed. Many options allow the customization
of all these actions to individual user needs.

All information about how to use this program can be found in the
online manual, which is accessible by pressing the F1 key, or
selecting it from the HardCopy program group.

---------------------------------
Upgrading from previous versions:
---------------------------------
If you are upgrading HardCopy Pro from a previous version lower
than 1.6, please uninstall the old version before installing the
new one. Due to some changes of the way the options are saved,
you will need to adjust the options after installing new version.

---------------------------------
HardCopy Pro System requirements:
---------------------------------
*) Pentium CPU or higher
*) 8 MB of RAM
*) Windows 95 / 98 / NT 4.0 or higher
*) Mouse or compatible pointing device
*) 1 MB of free harddisk space

ATTENTION: HardCopy Pro does not support the 16 and 32 Bit color
bitmap file formats, because these modes are not supported by many
graphic programs and printer drivers. If you capture images from a
16 or 32 Bit screen, they are converted to 24 Bit automatically to
be compatible to other programs.

If you have any questions or comments, please write to
'support@desksoft.com'. If you experience any problems running the
program, please make sure to include information about your computer
configuration, hardware and software.
