This directory contains the Pandora flexible monitoring platform.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* You should NOT make pandora setuid root for it loads
dynamic libraries without any checks. This makes local (and possibly
 remote) exploits really trivial.

See the file INSTALL for compilation and installation instructions.

Pandora needs egcs or gcc/g++ compilers version 2.91.66 or higher to
compile (it may also work with other ANSI C++ compilers but this is not
warranted). Providing this, it is known to build succesfully on the
following architectures:

- i686-pc-linux-gnu
- powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu
- sparc-unknown-linux-gnu
- sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1
- sparc-sun-solaris2.7
- alpha-dec-osf4.0
- alpha-dec-osf5.0

Please let me know (and send me the eventual diffs) if you manage to
make it work on other platforms/compilers.

Send bug reports to simon.patarin@inria.fr. Please include the version
number from `pandora -V', and (whenever possible) a complete,
self-contained test case in each bug report.

If you have questions about using Pandora send mail to
simon.patarin@inria.fr.
