This is the first Beta release of MySQL Control Center.  Several users have been using
MySQLCC since early alpha stages and overall MySQLCC has proven to be quite stable.
All users are recommended to upgrade to this release.

From 0.8.8 onwards, there will be two binary releases for Linux systems.  One for glibc
2.3 and another one for 2.2;  Make sure you download the appropriate binary distribution
for your system.

MySQLCC now requires MySQL 4.0.3 or higher to compile form source under Linux
distributions. Windows versions are not affected by this yet, but will also require a
4.X branch to compile in the future.

Important Notes for 0.8.6-alpha

MySQL Control Center will now be referred to as "MySQL Control Center", not "MyCC".
The name of the executable file has changed from "mycc" to "mysqlcc" and so have all
the config directories.

In order to upgrade to the latest release, one should simply rename the directory
located in [HOME_DIR]/.MyCC to [HOME_DIR]/.mysqlcc

All of the reported bugs have been fixed for MySQL Control Center 0.8.6 and most of the
features keeping it in alpha stage have been implemented.  If everything goes well,
MySQL Control Center will be released as beta for version 0.8.7.

All MySQL Control Center users are recommended to upgrade to this release.
